WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!!!
FRIDAY:
“Night Fever…Night Fever….”
For Lamia’s birthday we got dressed up (some more than others!) in 70′s & 80′s gear and headed down to Canvas, the Roller-disco in Kings Cross. For those of you who know, it is held at the wearhouses where The Church used to be.
Its divided into 3 areas with 2 bars. It was great fun once I got back into the skating motion….however…..by 10pm the place was jam packed with both experienced and non experienced skaters, which made it quite dificult to do any skating.
SATURDAY:
My bosses daughter won 2 tickets in the Red Square Lottery for a free concert held by the Scissor Sisters in Trafalar Square…..But she wasnt able to go…..so she kindly gave me the tickets!!
Headed into the concert with Ben and was fortunate enough to see Kylie Minogue who was there to intorduce the band on stage.
Great concert….VERY energetic!! Lots of dressed up people too….great fun!!
SUNDAY:
HOW LUCKY AM I?????
James (work colleague) bought me a ticket to Chelsea V Liverpool game at Stamford Bridge!!
Met James and 3 of his mates for lunch at a nice restaurant called The Farm. Had a few drinks and a yummy lunch before heading to the game. I bid the boys farewell (as my ticket was on its own) and headed into the stadium.
I was sitting VERY close to the pitch right on the corner of the Matthew Harding stand. I was in amongst all the Chelsea pallava, which…. although was a great experience, made me uncomfortable…what with being a Liverpool supporter!!!!
So there i sat:
- in neutral colours
- Happy Snappy with the camera
- Trying not to show my enthusiasm when Liverpool were in control
- Trying not to show my tension when Chelsea were in control
I left the stand at half time and went down into the out arena. There were men EVERYWHERE drinking beer near the bars (you cant take drinks into the stands), so i thought “May as well join them”. So i went to the bar and then stood amongst all the blue boys supping beer. Back to the match to see Liverpool defeated by Chelsea 0-1!!!
What an experience – Absolutely fantastic!!!
Met the boys after the game for a bevie, then headed back to West Hampstead Walkabout for 1 drink, then off home for an early night!!
Living the life and leaving on a good note- Such is life
